Ri.di.cu.lous.ly Busy

Ah, the header says it all!

Happy April! I swear yesterday, it was February. Life is keeping us insanely busy. As you probably know, Aaron and I are very passionate about Cued Speech and we’ve been pouring our lives into Cued Speech of Colorado among other things. We have a great board of members, who are all very involved in different ways which is what is making the establishment of this organization successful. Not to mention great open minded people out here in Colorado. That makes a huge difference.

In other news, I have officially sent in my “yes, I’ll attend” form to University of Northern Colorado. I’ll be starting a work and learn program this July pursuing a degree in Special Education at the satellite campus in Lowry (Denver). It’s scary going back to school at age 31 and basically doing a career change. Aaron has been nothing but supportive in this decision.

I’ve also been real busy with clients who have contacted me to do graphic design work for them. I’ve been having a blast designing for people, however… setting my work hours has been my biggest challenge. It’s not like I go to an office away from my home, and leave at a certain time leaving my work behind. Work here is constantly on my mind and in my face every day I walk around this apartment.

Hiking season is back! We’re looking forward to starting our hiking every weekend again. We have a goal to hike another fourteener this summer. Oy vey! I need to whip myself into shape again.

The school year is nearing an end, and that will mark Aaron’s first year of teaching done, done and done! Most people say the first year is the hardest. I only hope it becomes a little easier for him from now on although I know he enjoys it which is what matters!
